Lesson Program and Lesson Policies

South Jersey Music lesson policies are standard practice though out the music retail industry and other studio based programs (ie; dance studios, karate gyms and sporting facilities).

The difference here at South Jersey Music is we do NOT require contracts or sign up fees and our teaching staff are highly qualified college graduates with many years of experience teaching and playing in the music industry.

Lesson Fees & Payment

The cost of weekly lessons is $23.00 per 30 minutes. Lesson are payable Monthly.

Our Monthly lesson rate is $92.00. You will not be charged for the 5^th week in any month that has 5 weeks.

(You will receive 4 free lessons per year (months with 5 weeks).

What does this mean?

On AUTOPAY, we will charge your debit or credit card $92.00 each month per student that is signed up for 30 minute lessons. The cost for each additional family member will be $90.00

On AUTOPAY we would charge your account on or about the 1st of each month.

If you wish to discontinue lessons, you are still free to do so without penalty, provided we are notified by the 21st of the month (i.e. we are to be notified by May 21st if you wish to stop lessons effective June 1st). To discontinue lessons please fill out a DROP REQUEST FORM (available at the sales counter). There will be NO REFUNDS for and cancelled lessons or dropped students after billing has occurred for the upcoming month.

Attendance

1. All students will receive a FREE lesson whenever there is a 5 week month (4 times per year). If you find it necessary to miss a lesson, you can use this free lesson to get caught up with what you missed.

2. Regular attendance at lessons is expected. There are NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS for any missed lessons. You are paying your teacher to reserve the studio and lesson time just for you. You are required to pay for your reserved lesson even when you are absent for whatever reason. You are NOT required to pay for any lessons missed due to teacher absences.

3. If your lesson falls on any holiday or inclement weather day when South Jersey Music is CLOSED, you will NOT be charged for that lesson. A Credit will be placed on your account and the next month's tuituin will receive that credit amount prior to charging your credit card.

Cancellations & Missed Lessons

Please be aware that your tuition is what pays the teacher's salary, and the teacher must be paid whether you are here or not. We have children of our own, and are fully aware of all of the other activities that you are involved in. With that in mind, here are the cancellation policies:

There is no lesson make-ups allowed if you cancel a lesson. You may schedule a missed lesson at another convenient time at our regular lesson rate of $23.00 per 30 minutes.

THERE ARE NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS FOR UNUSED LESSONS!

If you are sick and contagious, we would appreciate you not coming to your lesson. Our instructors work in very close quarters with their students and they don't get paid for sick days. Please take this into consideration when coming to class while ill.
